He's LOOSELY inspired (key word) by Maori art/tattoo/etc. Very loosely. Just like as a passing thought, I did not look up specific tattoos, forms, etc. so please no flaming on that. This was a custom glyph commission, taken a step further - the purple 'heart' in the center is actually a small piece of paua shell that I carved and inset. My submission for the AC 09 conbook =) I hope it gets in! As the theme this year is OMG Aliens! I had a bit of a tough time coming up with an idea... I hope this one is cute enough =) Those little aliens are in for a shock when they suddenly see a large furry earthling bounding excitedly towards them. Turns out their ship unfortunately has a similar shape and appearance to his favorite fetch toy... He will also be for sale at this year's AC

The cute girly octopus was just going about her business; it was part of her job to go get that computer upgrade. The shark technician was cute and competent and kept asking her to lunch. She was a bit intimidated; after all, he WAS a shark, with all those big pointy teeth... and she didn't even have a backbone. But she agreed, mostly because of that beautiful toothy smile... and the rest is history.
